Re: Aston Martin One-77

Have fixed together the body and the bottom by means of brass wire 0.5 mm diameter to remove the gaps.

In progress

Finish

Some progress on the engine bay body parts and the hood.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Mikhail, do you think the nose sits a little too high? I observed this on my example. Take a look at your post #17: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...1083878&page=2

I thought about bending the nose down, or maybe it will solve itself when married to the chassis.

Can't wait to see more of your build!

Yes, you're right, but I will leave it as it is.

I have tried to lower the nose by means of cutting and increasing the cut. You can see it on this photo.

But now I have a better idea. I show it in the nearest future.
At first, I decided to make a new upper part of the engine bay. The 3D is from a computer game.

It was printed and installed into the body. My own part was cutted out.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

I thought about heating the body and bending the front a little lower. Will await your better idea.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

to BVC500: The heating and bending is a good way in your case. But in my case it won't. I will print a complete new front end. In progress.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Cool. Of course, all that work you did in the beginning to fix inaccuracies around the vents has gone to waste.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Yes, it's a pity! A carbon hood too. On the other hand I will make a better look model. With a new front grill made from scratch.
