A little help appreciated

Ok, basically I have a father (no really!) and he owns a lotus elan, fathers day recently passed and i had an idea of what to get him, however... I had no idea how to go about it, basically i want to replace the cover on his numberplate and possibly the lights, however I don't know the 1st thing about cars, as Ive only just started driving,

so a couple questions...

• what do I call this section of the car?
• Where is the best place to buy it?
• How easy will it be to fit with the help of the mechanic?
• and how much would it cost?
