Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
After the Mclaren it's time for a straight out of the box build...
Plastics... Dont mind the kittykat: Instructions: Now lets talk about color... Thought about this: Dont like the silver-gold combination af the bbs rims, they are going to be painted like this: Outside alclad chrome, inside chrome silver. 99% sure of the bodycolor, this looks best on the porsche i guess... Not sure about the interieur color, any ideas? Greetz SuperMele |

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
I always think red interior suits a black body colour, or beige/tan can look quite effective..??? The choice is yours though.

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
This kit really doesn't have an interior color. Clubsport and track versions of the GT2 had no carpeting or upholstery- just bare body color paneling. The seats and dash were dark grey (although it would probably have been possible to have the seats done in red or blue). I did one of these recently, and in my thread I pointed out a few things I would have done differently as I built it.

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
Awesome start!
I liked the wheel color choice, and black would look great on the body. I think M Tuning did a beautiful Black 911 GT2 a while ago. I'll be watching with excitement on this one, as I have a GT2 to build as well. |

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
Hi, good choice of model, I`m about to built myself too, car is beautiful... I must say I`m confused a bit about the whole clubsport thing. As far as I know, clubsprt version of 993 gt2, was very rare and only 7 pieces serie for the best porsche customers. It actually should have some carpenting in the interior...at least on the pictures i`ve found.
This should be one of 7, original clubsport. Interior: And rear part of the interior with carpenting. Is there around some real porsche fan, who would bring the light to the whole case? |

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
I`ve seen your pict too and I thought it was just a "modified" gt2 or turbo, but it looks it is really an original clubsport (I`m not a big porsche expert ). I`m sorry SuperMele for interrupting your thread like this, but don`t any of you guys know what exact color, maybe from Zero paint catalouge, is that silver on the Tony`s pict. I`ve allreary ordered Zero Speed Yellow, but this is just even better. Thank you.
I realized, the colour of the car is not actually seen very well, so another pict. Sorry again SuperMele... |

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
Found an error in the kit, actually a guy on an other forum noticed it ... As you notice on the boxart, the fuelfiller is on the bonnet... On the real clubsport porsches, the fuelfiller is located on the front weel arch, just in front of the a-pillar... I'm going to leave it as it is... It's no problem to sand the old fuelfiller out, but scraping out a new perfect simmetrical filler on the wheel arch is a bit hard

Re: Porsche 911 GT2 club sport
Yes, theres a few errors, as the kit is simply repacked race gt2 with one additional new parts frame...most visible is this fuel cap, different exhausts and wrong shaped rear wing, but just a bit...Personally, I`m trying to reshape it with putty and lots of sanding, but I would never do it again, cause its really annoying and the result is almost invisible...
