1/24 Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Club Sport Race Prep

Hi everyone,

Even though I have joined this forum last year, this would be my first post here... I am excited to see so many great builds and progress projects here and would like to contribute something that I have recently completed.

I built this using a Renaissance transkit to have the door opened and added some P/E details. I also fabricated brake/shock areas, and did some interior work, but other than that, it is built straightforward.

Been making F1 related subjects for a while so this was somewhat challenging for me. I had to keep the clear parts clean and neat throughout the build which I found it very hard to do. I just wanted to do something that I always wanted to do; build a 911 Porsche...

Here are some pictures:

Hi,
looks very good, smooth finish, pins (?) around the fenders, brake details.

If I were you, I would place a car lift on the left side of the car to add realism.

Son of a gun!

Now don't I just wish there had been a WIP thread on THAT build!! Any chance

BTW IIRC, someone was asking about this Renaissance open door transkit just recently here on AF and some fit problems - I hope they see this thread and can ask you for help.

Congratulations on a great build and a Hitchcock style first post (start with an earthquake and increase the suspense from there on..)

Yowza! Suberb detail and craftmanship! This car looks great in white, and you really captured it's style and essence with this build. I wish I could think of more kind words, but my mind is still reeling!

Nice work! Paint is on too thick but other than that it's very nice.
