did you hear about how our state shut down for a whole 4 hrs because they couldn't figure out the budget? now they decided the best thing for the state is to raise income taxes and create a service tax for all kinds of stupid stuff like getting your shoes polished or getting nails done or even getting your picture taken in a picture booth.... I still don't get how raising taxes helps the economy...

me either, just pisses off the people more than anything. don't they have to pass a bill to do all that stuff? if so they people will not vote that in.

i think as long as the house and governor agree then it's done... if i remember right the idea got shot down once before... the law makers are just running the state into the ground... even the education system is rediculous now... I dont know how it is in other states but now for k-12 they are requiring 7class hrs (an added subject) so they are eliminating stuff like shop class or other stuff like that... so now you learn less on each subject and have no electives...

when i said 'eveyone' i didnt mean everyone...but everybody i have ever known does(not from michigan). and geno, you midwest states like ohio dont count..cuz thats practically michigan anyway...except your troopers are PITAs

I donno, I have been avoiding contact with them completely... But I did find a great deal last night at work on a place. A buddy of mine that works in security has a 3 bedroom house in town and he said he was looking for one roommate just so he doesn't have to live from paycheck to paycheck all the time. He just went through a divorce earlier in the summer and has been struggling since. He told me 250 a month is all I have to pay and that'll cover the rent, utilities, cable, and roadrunner. I'm thinking I can't pass that one up cause its so cheap and its like 5 minutes from work rather than the 30 I drive now... I think it would be a lot better than paying 400+ a month for a small apartment where I have to worry about neighbors and such plus still pay utilities and any other services I would want... So I'm thinking 250 a month out of the 1200 a month I bring home wouldn't be bad at all...

Anybody have any thoughts or opinions on this? It's a pretty good sized place. I'm gonna drive by it today on my way to work to see what kinda shape its in... From the sounds of it, he had just remodeled the whole interior this year...

If you move in with your friend... don't do it without a lease... and I mean a real, signed legal ones. I had an ex friend who we let live in our house in college and we didn't tell the landlord and just split the rent... well she decided to play house with this guy and moved out one weekend and decided not to pay her share anymore... eventho it was supposedly agreed that she would stay until May. Maybe guys aren't as shitty as girls, but just cover your ass
