Check for warranty information. I'd hate for you to waste money, quality tools are expensive.

Matco or Mac for quality and price. Snap on for name (rep points) and quality (although you pay out the you guess what for them)

One of my friends has a box full of snap-on, he spent $100k on tools so far and he's not done yet. I spent about $30k on mine, and I don't turn wrenches for a living

How much are tools over there? I know in Canada the prices are different, depending on how the exchange rate is sometimes they are cheaper there, sometimes here.

I have a whole garage full of snap on tools

On a different subject, I need tips to increase the maximum number of pushups.

He said pushups, not a heart attack . Price isn't too bad. I bought snapon because the driver goes past my house every day, and he also lives 2 houses down from me.

Do you really have a whole garage full of snap on?. I went with husky, pittsburgh , lisle and craftsman (only to name a few) stuff only cause I couldn't afford the higher quality stuff. I have a few snap on speciality tools but thats only cause the snap on trucks was around and I was in a jam (plus when you add in shipping on some of the tools and the cost sometimes you are better off going local).

I just looked at their web site, they do look good. How are you planning on bringing them over here?

Re: Banter Thread Part 3 (Back with a Vengeance, this time its personal)

oh yes, i'd take them with me. my dad has a couple of socket sets of his own (from the sixties, and they're still just like new) i want to buy one of their mechanics' sets with lots of tool is a case, then buy the torque wrench and various little things seperate.

Re: Banter Thread Part 3 (Back with a Vengeance, this time its personal)

Be careful of the weight. Airlines here have put a weight limit on luggage, my dive bag barely makes it if I bring my heavy wetsuit. And shipping is incredibly expensive.
