It was more fake bacon flavor than real bacon goodness. I think I may know why, I was watching one of my new favorite shows called Dark Horse Nation, and they were making a bacon beer and kept adding more and more and more bacon to the recipe but were having trouble with it imparting any bacon flavor on the beer.

The bar I go to gets it pretty regularly. Im sure its much easier to get here than out by you since its brewed about 45 min from here in Indiana.

Whenever the bar has it, they let us (regulars) know cause it seems like there's some alert that goes out and every Tom Dick and Asshole order em up, leaving us with none

Three Floyds in general has some good stuff. I also like their Gumballhead. Their Jinx Proof is also decent

Sadly VooDoo Doughnuts was once our quirky all hours weirdo doughnut shop... now thanks to the likes of the Food Network and Travel channel, there is a line that wraps around the block most of the time now. Great doughnuts, but not worth the hour+ wait in line with tourists.

Speaking of tourists... I'm so ready for tourist season to be over. One of the things very unique about Portland is our food carts. Downtown we have several entire blocks that are lined with food trucks (permanently, these do not drive around really) and they are a huge draw to tourists who have never seen such thing. They do not understand food cart etiquette... they walk around, stop right in he middle of the sidewalk look at a menu, stand there in the god damn way, walk to the next cart, stop right in the middle of the sidewalk right in the god damn way, etc until they've made the full block. Then they find something they want go up order.. then they're like "oh you don't take card, I didn't know (they are unable to read the huge "cash only" sighs plastered over most of the food carts. Then stand there at the god damn window.. other people standing there like "..... are you ordering or are you just fucking standing here in the god damn way?" THEN they get their food... do they leave and go to park or somewhere else to eat it? NO they eat it RIGHT THERE IN THE GOD DAMN WAY on the fucking sidewalk. RIGHT IN THE GOD DAMN WAY! AHHHHH fucking tourists.

Yeah I'm not even sure its distributed on the west coast, I've never seen it in the stores I frequent. We have some "cult" beers like that there sell out almost instantly, usually by people who "I'm not a beer person- I like my Miller Lite- but I was in town and this list on the internet said I have to try this one!" So they order up a pint and drink three drinks and go "wow this is really strong" then the rest goes down the drain leaving naught for the rest of us.

I didnt know he had his own strain, but it doesnt surprise me. Id love to get in on a session with Kevin Smith, Seth Rogen, Joe Rogan, and Chappelle. Any one of those would be fine, but all is better
