I have one ordered for many weeks in my modelling shop but
still have no news of his arrival. For sure it's a good one, Hasegawa have a high quality reputation. ![]() |

Does this kit also comes with small wheel arches ?
I would like to make the Stradale, but I m not very aware what are the differences, as the stradale was just the race car on the road, with only different dashboard, smaller wheels ( by cutting a bit out of the Standard wheels) and small arches. Or does anybody has other info on the stradale (I have got enough pics.) or about how to convert it . Thanks, and sorry to bring this thread up. Ciao Olivier |

I built one not so long agon, it is a very frustrating kit to build. The fitment of the body to the chassis is extremely difficult, since the sides undelap the chassis by a good 6mm. The chassis also has a lot of flex in it, which makes fitting the body even more difficult. Engine detail was very sparse, as was the interior detail. Unless you are very confident of your decalling skills, I would suggest you wait until you have done some more kits before attempting this one too, the decals are very time consuming and take a lot of patience. You can see my completed kit here: Lancia Stratos Ray

Fujimi made a 1/24 Enthusiast Stradale kit, I'll look at it when I get home, maybe post some pics. They put a whole parts tree in it from the Enthusiast Ferrari Dino 246 which included the engine, proper for the Stratos.

I also have a Lancia Delta and a Lancia 037 - no photo etch Not all the Hasegawa kits are fantastic, and not all include photo etch. The same goes for every kit manufacturer, not all their kits are absolutely wonderful.

The Lancia doesn't have any PE parts and such. I was very dissapointed when I got this kit and decided not too build it. Well not now.
I have to older kits (Delta Integrale and Focus) and they are so much better, PE parts and all. Quote:

This is one of the Fujimi Stratos kits in the last Enthusiast series that they released, and that's only because they could put the engine parts tree from the Enthusiast Ferrari Dino 246 kits in them. I believe there are two stradale versions and two race versions, but all had the narrow body. The two road versions were identical except for the wheels, the version I have has the thin five spokes and it doesn't seem to be available anymore, you can find the others on HLJ.
The body is very nicely shaped, they appeared to have really wanted to make these right. A nice little assortment of etched parts included. Nice tires, fine screen wire and regular wire for detailing included.

I thought it may be worth mentioning, the Hasegawa kit of the Stratos I built came with the narrow body and additional parts to widen the rear fenders.
I don't know if that little bit of knowledge is worth knowing? Ray
