Question Need help with Fiero wheel swap.

I have an 84 SE with the standard 14" honeycomb wheels. I want to put on a set of the 15" lace wheels. Will any year Fiero lace wheel fit? I understand the 88 GT wheel offset to be different... but can it be used on the 84 at all?

I have swapped all types of Fiero rims (and non Fiero rims with the same 5x100 bolt pattern) on all Fiero years and models with no problems. The only thing you have to do is have an alignment done as soon as possible, as swapping to different size wheels/tires will throw off your tow in and camber. The same goes for any change of wheel rim combo including aftermarket rims as well. But you should have no problems swapping your 14" to the GT/Formula style 15" lace ones other than what I said above.

Re: Need help with Fiero wheel swap.

The 5x100 pattern was used on many of GM's front drive cars as well as the Fiero (The Fiero was actually designed using a modified Chevrolet Citation front end for it's rear drivetrain!)
and 14" and 15" 5x100 wheels with the same offset are 100% interchangeable- however, depending on the tire size you use, your speedometer could be off a few mph/kph.
I DO know the Fiero went though some suspension changes for 88, but I wasn't able to find out if the wheel offset was changed. I do know that using the wrong offset wheel can change the way the car handles, put extra stress on the wheel bearings, and cause uneven tire wear. If you're unsure if the 15" wheels you pick out are right for the car, match the offset to the original 14's with a good old fashioned ruler.

74-79 Ramcharger or 100, slant or no motor - not interested in v8 - Overdrive 4 is a big plus, NO hopeless rust buckets!!!
3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L)

Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????
