Well, I was driving by the Honda dealer where I worked for 3 months earlier this year while I was in auto tech school, and on a whim decided to pull in to talk to one of the two veteran Honda techs.
Only one of the two was in, but he said these cars are pretty simple, and that its either the fuel pump or distributer/ignitor. I just bought a distributer on ebay for $27 shipped, so that possibility will be taken care of. I also learned that if the problem is with the main relay, then the Check Engine light won't come on while its cranking, which it does...so the problem probably isn't the relay.
He told me not to buy a fuel pressure gauge. Just undo the fuel line, have someone crank the motor, and see if fuel sprays out! lol...easy way to check for fuel. He did mention that it should be in the high 30's or low 40's in case I have a pressure gauge. Likewise, he said just pull out the spark plug wires, and see if they're firing while cranking by holding them up to a ground (obviously be CAREFUL not to get shocked while doing this, you won't like it). So no tools required, easy way to check for spark and fuel on a fuel injected
