2001 Saab 9-5 service soon and code 730

How can I shut off the service engine soon light on the heads up display? Also what could a code 730 (Incorrect Gear Ratio) be on my car? It's a 2001 Saab 9-5 V6 Turbo with 107k on it. The light, when cleared, comes back on right away and it seems the car loses a lot of power starting out at low speeds when the light is on. When the light is off however the car seems to run fine. Any ideas? If you need more details just ask.
