Saab Gains Breathing Room with $222 million Investment From Hawtai Motors
It seems the Saab owner Spyker Cars was able to get a nice bit of breathing room from Chinese auto group Hawtai Motors with the embattled automaker holding production due to lack of funds to pay bills: An investment to the tune of $222 million that will allow for what are said to be joint ventures in multiple areas and an entry to the Chinese auto market.
The story from AutoWeek: Quote:
This seems like an interesting deal and one that will make a lot of die-hard Saab fans/owners very happy. What do you think the results of this will be? Will Saab find rejuvenation at the hands of their new Chinese counterpart or will this only be a temporary hold on the demise of the company?
