Cool Help with Fuel Pump Resister Relay

I have a bad fuel pump resister, on my 2000 grand prix gtp. I did the fix for the speed to be on high all the time. I know this is a temporary fix, but how long is this temporary fix safe for, I have to take a 600 mile round trip next week to see family, and I want to know if this will mess up anything else if I wait to change it until I come home next week. Thank you

Re: Help with Fuel Pump Resister Relay

It varies. Some members we have bypassed it for up to several weeks. I ran without one for two weeks until the part arrived. But if you are taking a long trip do it at your own risk. Good luck!
