LOL wasn't me. I have a rule about not drinking until at least 10PM.

1) Because drinking makes me tired, so I'd pass out before it was dark out, if I started that early.
2) Because if I drank all afternoon, in addition to all night like I currently do, I'd consider myself an alcoholic. That's the only thing that stops me from admitting I have a drinking problem.

I only have a problem when I run out of beer.

Or when the hangover starts before I'm done drinking

I never seem to manage to save the money that I would be spending on weed... I don't know where it goes... I guess I just spend it on other things I need. I got paid yesterday, had to wait till today to deposit my check... havn't had any food in my house in days so I've been grabbing breakfast on the way to work, then getting lunch at work, then not eating once I get home because I don't have any food. I have money... but I don't way any way to get to the store. I pay zipcar for a membership, yet cars are never available. When I complain I'm assured that my complaint has been forwarded to some team to writes it on a post-it or something... Portland has this law, there are no plastic bags meaning that if you go to the store and buy food, they give it to you in a paper bag, meaning that you can only carry one bag with you if your taking the bus- because they load it to the brim. Then if its raining, (300 days a year) don't even bother. The bag will disintegrate as soon as you walk out side. Don't worry though, you'll be bombarded by bums and homeless as soon as you walk out of the store. Oh yeah, did I mention how ridiculously expensive everything here is? I got a burger and fries from a food cart the other day, not even a sit down restaurant- a food cart. Guess how much that burger was? Any takers? 15 bucks. Not getting as many hours as I used to in the past, cost of everything is going up, in two years my apartment has been up over $400. Only way I can get cheaper rent is to move out of the city... cant move out the city without a car, cant buy a car without cheaper rent, cant get cheaper rent without moving out of the city, cant move out of the city without buying a car, cant buy a car unless I find cheaper rent, cant find cheaper rent unless I move out of the city, cant move out of the city until I buy a car. See the problem? Oh yeah, and I'm 60,000 in debt and I've only managed to pay a few grand of it off- probably about equal to the interest that accumulates every month.

When I say fuck my life... I truly mean fuck my life.

Oh yeah, and bus fare went up again, I pay something like $150 a month to ride the bus.... yet they have posters all over the place saying "to be as efficient as us you would have to fit 30 people in your car". Sometimes I want to burn peoples faces off.

I hear ya. Whenever I think about the $ I've wasted on alcohol and especially cigarettes, it drive me nuts. Can't say the same for weed though, I've probably only spent $60 in the past 10 years on it.

Does anywhere around there sell reusable grocery bags? Like a thick fabric bag with handles on it. Maybe it's just a regional thing, but we have them everywhere. Hell on the rare occasion I stop into an Aldi's, they don't have bags period, and make you pay $.25 (that you get back) if you want to use a cart.

Re: SERIOUSLY OT: Calling all chicks! IT'S PART 6!!

You can buy reusable bags or take your own, the total amount of stuff I can carry really doesn't vary. Say I go to the grocery store thats easiest to get to here, its a 30 minute bus ride there, 10 minute walk from the bus stop, buy groceries, then I have to walk 10 minutes back to the bus stop, wait 30+ minutes for the bus to come along, get on the over packed tin can ($5 fare, might I add) take the 30 minute ride back home, walk back up my apartment- which by the way is 5 flights of stairs to get to my second floor apartment, because everything is on a hill in Portland. So really, reusable bags- other than usually being a little sturdier and with a handle- really don't change the amount of stuff that I can carry. Portland is also the very worst city I've ever been in as far as service anywhere. There can be 500 people in the store and they will only have one cashier, and don't buy produce because they won't know the code, you actually plant seeds and grow your own apples in the amount of time that it will take to get a price on that.

When did it become ok to mark stuff two sizes bigger than what they are then call it "slim fit"

I think its a nation wide phenomenon. I'm a big guy- but not to the point of ever needing to go to special stores to buy clothing that fits. Now because stores sell a medium shirt marked xxl... I have no other options. I went into a big and tall shop one time (nope.. not tall... ) and was shocked that a regular t shirt with that stores logo on it (think it was Casual Male or some shit like that) was $65.
