96 Monte 3.4 overheating issue
ok i have a 96 monte 103,000 miles, and the thermostat and water pump went bad, i changed them out but no its got a phantom leak. ive checked everything i can think of but its leaking coolant somewhere any ideas??

This could be a variety of things. Did you check and make sure all your hoses are tight? How about the rad, take a close look at the rad and make sure its not leaking anywhere. There are heater lines, they can leak. You have to look at it closely and track it from there. Is the water pump installed correctly, the thermostat, is it install properly, withthe housing put back properly? take a close look at it and see what you find.

This not a shot at you at ALL.Have you read anything about this motor? The 3.4 and it's little brother are an azzhole engine. Intake gaskets are a sure bet.GM did not make 1 good intake setup fpr the 3100 or the 3400.Hell they wont even admit it's a problem. Seems odd that they all need to be fixed.
