Easy to start in morning, hard to re-start after runing? Help please
Hello,
My wife has a 02 Suburban 1500 with the 5.3. In the morning the car starts right up. If you shut it off between 1-10 minutes it starts up fine again. If you wait for about 15-20 minutes or longer you have to crank it over and give it some gas to start. No I have tried the turning the key 3-4 times to build pressure after it sits the 15+ minutes or so and it still has a hard time cranking. Any ideas. One guy sait the check valve in the pump allowing the gas to go back into the tank. But remember I have pressured it back up by turning the key and still has a hard time cranking. But in the morning it fires right up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance... |

Fuel Pressure Regulator might be leaking fuel into the intake. Check the vacuum hose to the FPR and see if there is fuel in it.

Also have the ECT checked when hot.
