2010 3 5-door cooling fan not engaging
I started having issues with the AC not cooling at a stop, and then discovered that the fan does not come on with temp either. I have seen posts for other model years talking about bad FCM, and bad ground wire.
How do I test the fan control module to see if it is putting the proper voltage on the correct pins? Is testing the fan as simple as wire to battery on one contact; wire to ground on the other, and spins or not? Should I have continuity on the ground wire from the fan connector back to the body? I have continuity from the fan connector back to the little metal clip that hold the fusible link(?) onto the FMC, however there is no continuity from the metal clip back to the connector where the green ground plugs into the black ground. Thanks for any advise! Marcus |

12v directly to fan will tell you if it's bad.

We tried fan connector red to battery(+) black to body ground, but no go. We just wanted to make sure there was anything else involved with turning the motor itself.

Also, there appears to be a fusible link in the ground wire from the fan that clips onto the FCM. Does anyone know if that comes with the fan, the FCM, or if is something that gets replaced independently.
