I went for a drive today (it's a public holiday here in Jamaica) and my engine died going up a hill on the way back. An apprentice mechanic I met on the side of the road cleaned the carburetor to no avail, and my car was then towed to a garage. When the mechanic took off the distributor cap, the pieces of what was once my rotor brush fell out. They were unable to find a replacement, so they glued the pieces back together and bound the result with wire. That is currently serving as my rotor brush until I can get one from the Daihatsu dealer or another parts supplier.
