5.0 Head and Cam Combos

I'm going to get heads and a cam for my 1991 GT. Does anyone have any suggestions on which combo to get? Nothing too aggressive. I was kind of thinking some ported GT-40 heads and a FMS E303 cam. Any suggestions???

It has been a while since I looked at the cam and heads, since I got my skyline. F cam with a set of ported GT-40s are a nice combo, but there are better out there. If your going to do it, do it right the first time. Do some searchs at www.stangnet.com and www.corral.net there is hell of lot more tech there than here.

Personally, I would go with a stage one trick flow, and some trick flow heads, that would be the best bang for the buck. Don't for get to get some headers and a intake, if not tyou will not see much of an improvement, since it would get bottle necked.

Talk to Ed Curtis at http://www.flowtechinduction.com

I would stay away from the E-cam. I'm not too happy with mine, too much idle surge. I'd go with either a custom ground cam or trickflow stage 1.

Heads, AFR makes some really great heads, or even Twisted Wedge are great. I'm not really fond of the GT40 heads, there's better out there now-a-days. I like my Edelbrock heads, good quality craftsmanship too!

Like stated by SkylineUSA, get and intake too. You will need it, you don't want the stocker to bottle neck you!
