93 Rodeo runs good cold stalls when warm..

I have a 93 6cyl, Rodeo with 110,000 miles. When cold it runs fine for 5 or 10 minutes. After it "warms up" it will not accelerate. If Im doing 60 on the freeway and want to go 65 it takes a minute of "missing" to get there. If I hit traffic and slow to 50 it takes forever to get back to 60. After exiting the freeway I am lucky to not stall at the light. I put it in nuetral and give it gas to keep it running. When accelerating from the light it takes a good minute of missing and jerking to get up to 20 mph. I have changed the fuel filter and spark plugs. Any ideas? O2 sensor was suggested by a friend. Any other thoughts? Thanks for the help in advance.

The fact that your troubles start after your truck warms up would tend to point to a bad O2 sensor. I seem to remember reading somewhere that until your engine warms up the ECM operates in Open Loop Mode and doesn't use O2 sensor input. Once the engine is warm it switches to closed loop and stops ignoring O2 sensor input. This could explain your problem.

O2 sensors are relatively inexpensive (~$50) and easy to replace.
