Alright help me out here with this question i could get some nice cash

Alright i dont know much about turbos but i got in a discussion with someone. They said that turbo would give u like 30 hp i was like noooo it can get u like 100 hp. So we argued about this and we ended up betting 300 dollars. So i need to proove hime somehow. Please help.

HA! you both win. It all depends on:

the size of the turbo
the application it goes on
how much boost is run
the supporting mods
if the supporting mods are counted in the baseline run

on a honda civic, it may be likely a small turbo kit could yield 30whp more

on an eclipse GS a 1g kit (custom) can take you from 130whp to 190 whp

and the tearstone kit on a GT eclipse should yield over a 100whp gain

30whp isn't a very large gain overall for putting enough money to turbocharge a car into it!

Well, it is all in how the question was worded. If you are talking about averages or whatever.....but I would say that if someone put a turbo on simply to get 30hp then there is a problem. Somehow I dont believe you actually bet 300 bucks.....for something as obvious as this
