96 Eclipse rs non turbo to a turbo project
Hey, so I'm about to come into possession of a '96 Eclipse RS. It's not turboed right now but I'm looking into ways to get it turboed.
So first question I had: How much is it going to cost roughly? I'm going to be running off the stock internals for now. |

Re: 96 Eclipse rs non turbo to a turbo project
until you can take it apart to replace the pistons with lower compression ones you will have to limit the boost to just a couple of pounds to keep it from blowing apart. will also need to replace exhaust manifold and fit a intercooler and get ecu remapped, upgrade the fuel system and add oiling and cooling system to turbo. you best bet might to find a wrecked one with a turbo and swap engine and other parts as needed to make it work

If you are serious about this build then I would point you this direction to read up on Daves build that he did...
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=938486 Don't expect to build it for cheap though or things will be breaking on you all the time.
