Thema V6 Troubles

Hi there.
I have a problem with my '88 V6 auto.
I recently replaced the water pump and after puting everything back together the car idles at 1500rpm. I can drop the idle by ADDING extra air into the system....

Any ideas....

Sounds as though you have unmetered air entering combustion system. Recheck all connections and clean up all connection on the afm.
