94 Grand Prix...how do you put the power for an amp through the fire wall
HI i recently bought a 94 Grand prix, and i wanted to put the P2's that i had in my old car in this car. I got all of the wiring done except for the 5 guage battery cable. My old car was a saturn and was very easy to run it through the fire wall along with the steering column. When i went to do this with the new car i found alot more stuff that was in the way, not to mention a an engine bay that didnt allow much room to pull something through. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated... I would rather not run it through the door jamb.
Thanks Nate |

Not sure about that year, my 2002 I just drilled a hole on the passanger side as that is where my battery is. I did it on the slope of the floorboard, just above that. Just make sure both sides are clear.

Nate, almost any install on almost all cars will involve punching a hole through the firewall. You're gunna wanna pull back the carpeting on the passanger side, as to get the hole low enough so it'll pass through. Im not sure what the engine on the 94 looks like but on my 98 theres a nice sift-sized spot to stick your hand way down and yoink it up. Just look for the spot, drill small first to make sure you're not gunna hit anything, then tear a nice size hole through. You may also want to tape off the edges of the hole so the sharp metal doesnt cut through your cable shealding.
