Instrument Cluster Display Intensity
The intensity of the display of my instrument cluster in my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado is "stuck" on one intensity and that seem to be low. The thumbwheel switch on the dash which is supposed to increase/descrease the intensity does not have any affect. The thumbwheel still turns off/on the interior dome and courtesy lights.
I replaced the switch with a new switch ($85 tax included) thinking it was the cause. However, the "NEW" AC/DELCO switch had no affect on the the intensity of the instrument cluster display so I took it back out and put in the old one (the GM dealer charged me a $20 restocking fee. Any comments or suggestions where I should look or do I need to just take out a loan and take the truck into a GM dealer for service to get it fixed? |
