Also now that I finally have internet again I can review my amazon stick fire tv fire stick thing on the tv. stick.

I like it. For the $19 I paid for it, certainly one of the best purchases I've ever made. For the $39 current price, still a good deal too. the interface takes a bit to get used to, but its better than than most of the Smart TV's that I've used, and this is essentially what it does. Puts all your internet streaming video services, amazon cloud services, android apps, games, all sorts of jazz. AND IT COMES WITH A REMOTE CONTROL! which is a pretty big deal. One of the reasons I never got a chromecast. And this syncs directly to wifi, no dedicated home base computer needed. Hopefully between the prime videos, and the amazon videos I've purchased, and netflix and youtube this little dongle will keep me entertained without cable tv.

If I wasnt a sports douche, I could see myself ditching cable for one of those. If cable ever becomes a la carte then its a sure thing. Gimme ESPN and a couple other stations to watch my teams and the rest can suck one

Yeah, your kinda sucked if your into sports with the current distribution systems. I did hear that in the very near future ESPN will be offering some sort of stand alone streaming option for X amount a month or year or per event or something. I did some math and such (fuzzy logic mostly) and figured that I paid $100+ a month for cable and really only "had" to see maybe two shows a week on any given non sweeps week. Now while it will be a while before those seasons come around to netflix or amazon prime (if it all) but they are usually available for purchase as soon as they air on amazon prime for $2-3 an episode or $15-20 a season. I could purchase full seasons on all the shows I watch regularly, watch them as they air still, and watch them any time I want. AND I HAVE A REMOTE CONTROL. Did I mention that was a big deal to me? With the stick fire amazon prime stick tv thing stick you can also use your phone as your remote, which is more clumsy, something about being a pothead.. I like tactile buttons on my remotes. I dunst know what I'm clicking with a touch screen in the dark haze.
