1996 tahoe front axle seal leak! Can it be fixed?

Well it is fixed! $330.00. It was too much play in the axle. There is a clip inside the pumpkin that helps keep the axle in place. A tab on the clip was broken causing the axle to have too much play which would put pressure on the seal causing it to fail. Boy, I' am really ticked at that other repair shop!! Should have went to GM the first time! Over a year of hassle!!!

thanks for the reply ..I suspected that there was a worn part ..
the other shop lacked the knowlege ...what is not good is that they lied about the seal being updated...

I would not recommend them,,,,I would go back and show them that they were idiots..
