Re: HIRO DBR9 LeMans 2008

wow you are very brave to weather such a model/car...but I think it's too much. I personally liked the clean version much better.

The weathering on this model looks so realistic it is insane.
Even if I prefer clean (brand new in exposition condition) models I have to say I'm stunned by the quality of the work you did.

Re: HIRO DBR9 LeMans 2008

that is absolutely stunning work, nothin like seeing a model depicted after the race, but I think its not dirty enough, the 2008 race was bad, never seen the cars that dirty before.

you should be extremely proud of what you accomplished

Jochen, it looks shocking great !!!

The dirt on the car, wiped away in some areas - absolutely realistic !!!

Im with Spike, I dont think its enough. While I agree that cleaner cars are better, the car needs more weathering!

Re: HIRO DBR9 LeMans 2008

As I said before sensational work! I really like the wheatered look especially your look for the details is impressive, the wiped door/windows on the drivers side from opening the door during pitstops really add to the realism. But looking at the pics from the race I do think the doors (the middle part of the doors) could be a bit more dirty but well thats just my humble opinion . But when it comes to wheatering everybody has their own opinion I guess...

About the pics did you take them under a lamp or direct sunshine, looks like that somewhat? They also look a bit blurry, maybe you should try to take the photos with macro mode or without depending on which setting you used before. And check your white adjustment (Weißabgleich ). These are the settings you should play around with, atleast that is what comes to my mind when looking at the pics... maybe some of the pros have some better advise

Oh Jochen…

Despite I prefer shiny, ex-works liveries, I must admit you did a shocking job on your Aston. Simply a beauty.
