New Project.......1/12 Scale 1969 Camaro

Finally got back into this after a while away.
Started the interior and it will need a small amount of work to get it right. The seats come in 2 halves and dont fit together very well so they will need to be saneded and filled in places to get them looking right.
The steering and centre consol both need to filled and sanded to get rid of joins and putty.
Also will need to remove the badges on the doors for the phot-etched parts.
Finally a shot of the seats in place ready before being saned and painted.
As i'm doing a stock look the interior will be a mix of semi gloss and flat black.

Beautiful.I personally like the 1/16th scale models a lot, but my dad does have two 1/12 corvettes.

Finally got to do some more work on this project.
Interior is 99% finished now after seats needed filling and sanding. Its a mix a flat and semi-glooss blacks with photo-etched parts added for badges. Still a few to add yet to finish it off completely
Also made a start on the factory wheels I'll probably use. They have been given a good clean up and a light black wash done on them.

Looks great! That steering wheel looks killer, is it PE (the spokes, at least?). This thing is going to be great, detail inside and out. Wonderful work so far, I am eager to see it done.

Today the Camaro started to look like a finished model after the hours of work spent on it.
Test fitted the body to check the ride height etc and very pleased with it.
Bastard of a body to get on but finally got it to fit.
Took a few pics to share.
Tried the car with both the stock and custom rims to get an idea of the look.
I like the custom wheels but I'll probably keep the stock rims to give it the look i want.
Next up will be the body which will need to have all the body seems and badges removed before it will be primed and painted.

Let me know what wheels you think look best.

The original wheels look best IMO, but need wider tyres. Can you squeeze the first tyres onto them?

No. They are a different diameter and wont fit

ahm im i just a dimwit ore wasent this the kit that was turned in to a cabriolet or are there two 1:12 camaro kits beeing buildt on this forum?

ah ok i was ready to brake down not sleept for two day and when i see this i start thinking what the hell but primera man good work man makes me dribble want one to but i always have the 1:8 corvette stingray from revell

would be nice if revell made a yenko 1:12 instead not a fan on the oval airfilter and dual cards but still nice work
