Seriously, this is probably the best thread I've ever followed (no offense to any of my other heroes around AF). This is the sort of build up that on one hand makes me want to throw out all my models and just give up and on the other hand push my skills to the limit until my fingers fall off and my head explodes. I think this sort of talent is rare, and I am rather mystified to see it in action. I used to fancy myself as pretty good at building but this really blows me away. I remember when this thread first started I didn't think much of it, I thought, just another crazy half baked project. How wrong I was! Your roll cage is art, and really, all of this model is. I showed it to my girl and even she was impressed. I really honestly can wait to see this completed, because each step and detailed explanation is a treat in itself. I hate to seem such a filthy brownoser but this build up honestly blows me away.

Those door panels are too good to be true! And cool roll-cage.

I just found this thread, and its amazing. I'm a newbie, and it just has been inspiring. I actually jusdt purchased my first model adn supplies. Hopefully I will receive them this week and I can get started.
I've noticed in some of the past updates, the pictures havne't shown up. At least for me. Anyone else have that problem? Ratdat, I was wondering if you could repost some pics. They started to not show up when you posted them for the door panels. And from what I've read, I really want to see them. Thanks!! edit: The pics are showing up now....and all I can say is (actually my jaw just dropped, and I can't even explain it) That's how amazing this is. One quick question. Back when sanding and smoothing the body, it looked like it went back to the base black color....is that because you sanded it down that far or did you spray it with something? I belive he Sprayed it with primer, this will allow you to see any slight defects much easier once it is primed
