Re: ULTIMATE SCRATCHBUILD: 1:12 Hot Rod-Updated 11/01/05
To answer everyones question about the engine rake, its a normal rake for a rod. Most street machines, and hot rods have an engine rake of 6°, which is the exact way mine sits. Some of the pictures it looks fine, others it looks way off. Its the angle that the pictures were taken. As the build progresses and has a body wrapped around it, it will look a lot better.
However, looking at the pictures again, I think it shifted while I was taking the pictures. I may change it to a 3° rake which is a lot less, and probably a little smoother for a show car. This is why I post up, to get everyone's opinion.

Couple pics of the mockup shock. This is just used to help define distances for suspension clearences and such of the nature.

looking good mike. The mount on the left side of the picture looks really thin. When I work that thin it typically breaks. lol. great work. I am assuming the finished peices will be aluminum?

Not alot of travel on that shock? I hope you enjoy hitting your bumpstops. Looks good otherwise.

holy carp. I can't believe your still working on this model.
Have you got an ETA on finished product because after a year of this slow (yet steady ) teasing is killing me.Keep it up GT, looks sick.
