Re: Tools new album

Well seen the show in Chicago Lastnight !

Heres the set list:

Lost Keys / Rosetta Stoned
Stinkfist
46 & 2
Jambi
Schism
Right in Two
Sober
Lateralus
Vicarious
Aenema

Disapionted they didnt play The Pot.. My Fav of the moment !!!
the Video during jambi was particularly well done,
extended stinkfist and schism were top notch though
Right into is my next Fav and it was awsome live !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MJK kept saying he was "sick" or wasnt "feeling well"... Sounds like BS to me He was dead on key every song, so maybe he was BSing us...

It's so different to see them in a small venue rather than a gigantic arena..
Much more intimate, much more simple...

This was a "warm up" Tour for the UK.... It'll be a bigger better show this Fall so who ever didnt see them now, dont miss the fall shows !!!

Re: Tools new album

ugh, goddam! i know tool shows are huge, but even the NY show is a small venue, and that's why i was so excited to see it!! seriously, i feel like missing the show is leaving an empty space inside me. yes, its that tough... i'm gonna say its worse than breaking up with a girl of my dreams...

Re: Tools new album

Chicagos Auditorium was the smallest place I'd seen about anyone in.

Hav you guys seen this Wikipedia about the album? Kinda informative, as T. leary would put it.

Re: Tools new album

Has anyone heard about playing two songs on the new ablum back to back and then playing a third over them? i guess it's suppose to sound really good, kinda like they planned it or something. I was told the songs played back to back are wings for mary and viginti tres but i'm not sure what the other song is. I liked to try it so let me know.

OH HELLZ YES!!

i'm like a little child who just found out he's going to Disney World...

I'M GOING TO SEE MUTHERFUCKIN TOOL, BITCHES!!

sry, but, i'm all over the place right now. They're easily my favorite band by far and yet i've never seen them live!! I was able to see A Perfect Circle on their last tour, but now, TOOL!! (btw, rumor has it that this is also their last US tour, and last album as well...)

Re: Tools new album

Glad to here You are going vinnym86!

They rock live

I have heard the rumor that this was the end, but as I recall after Aenima the same rumor was running around.
Granted they took off several years off, but they came back for Lateralus....

I think its some ploy they've invoked, so tickets will sell out everywhere, and Tool stocks will skyrocket

Dont mind if they dont do another tour, but they hav to hav a couple more albums under thier sleeves.
I hope I hope I hope

Also, narcolepticJay, you might beright. WIngs for marie and viginti are 11:13 in time(together) and 10000 days is 11:13... maybe your onto something I'll giv it a try

Re: Tools new album

^I overlapped the two in Audacity, they synced up ok, but really didn't seem to serve a purpose. however, Viginti Tres played in reverse plays a message, which i couldn't make out. I looked it up online, but i found different answers from different sources. the most reliable of sources claims it reads "Be Patient"... an eerie thought knowing that the title of the song has a strong occult significance. (viginti tres means 23 in latin, a very symbolic and significant number in the occult)

Re: Tools new album

Ya I ran wings for marie and viginti along with 10000 days, it was kinda trippy
Even changed the first two around, with viginti first, still was wierd but nothing to write home about.

ok if viginti means 23, then wouldnt it backwards be 32, which isnt as significant as 23 in the ocult.

they are always TooLing with us

btw how did you run it backwards?

Re: Tools new album

you can run it backwards, and pretty much do any simple alterations to any mp3, in Audacity. just go to their website, its freeware.

Re: Tools new album

no problem. have fun with it, don't forget to play around with Dark Side of the Moon

the show is on the 19th all the way in Pittsburgh. I'd have gone to a NY show here, but i'd like to see it with a friend of mine who goes to Carnegie Mellon.

sidenote; this week or next, i will experience tool deep in the lysergic...
