Yes ebay shut his account down, not only was he ripping people off but he never paid ebay for the stuff he sold. Anyone who has not yet recieved their stuff should report him just to make sure ebay doesnt let him back in. It takes some balls to rip us off but even bigger ones to rip ebay off.....

Re: Scams on Ebay!

As soon as these guys get enough negatives to really affect their feedback rating they collect as many orders as possible, go MIA and start again.

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I can say that you never got what you bought. He never send the items.

Go and report to:

http://www.info.gov.hk/police/hkp-ho...lish/index.htm

click e-Report Room and then click Report Cyber Crime

Tell them the criminal name and his information.

Guys! What is his name you got from Paypal???
I doubt that xxseiyalegend and bigjohnocean belong to this criminal

even if the buyer opts for the cheaper postage, the total is still HK$176.
in HK the kit is around HK$180 in a store and i've seen it for HK$150 as part of a deal (i.e HK$300 for two).

this is what you should've pointed out in the first place.
does more than just linking to some random guy's e-bay profile.

I havent watched AF for 4 months, and 4 months before I already said exshowroom is the ebay scammer http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...7&postcount=45 and most likely is nicrdraftking

just now 4 months passed, it proofs. I already mentioned there is no way he is selling all the kits at loss, why I was challenged that he still made profits? I was pissed off by drunkey monkey.

What is your problem, drunkey monkey? I dont need your agreement, but why you kept disagreeing me and challenging me. You offensed me all the time. I did not offense you, I jsut raised the issue and points.

I want to ask you do you live in HK? DO you know here market situation? there is no way to sell a kit to world in such cheap cost. There is cost man, some cost you cant save. And nicedraftking is making loss at first 3 months, then ran away with a big bag of money.

It is one simple reason he is selling at 9.99, although he makes loss for 3 months, he will get back all his loss by not sending out the goods at last, the amount captured is much more than he loses. You can see how many buyers were cheated by him (nicedraftking or heiheihei wtever).

I doubt with hkpolice, if this guy has been scamming for 3 yrs, why he still exists? if police really after him, why he still exist? and obviously hkpolice has enough evidence to bring him to court, why he still wonders around?

I just want to point, I was not randomly link to some scammer profile, but sometimes at a public forum, many people are looking at. And you cannot point out some fact directly as you donno who is lookiing at , and the consequence is. I think some people here I hv talked to in PM knows what I mean .

Re: Scams on Ebay!

my original point was, all you did back then when the thread first came up, was to link to a person who was selling under ebay using methods that might've been suspicious. However, all you did was link to his ebay profile and say he looks like another scammer. You did not go into any detail as to why you thought him suspicious; hence my saying it was more or less a random link.

Secondly, you made a statement that i simply did not agree with.
those first two quotes of mine were exactly what I was talking about with regards to my own experiences with exchange rates at a time close to when that discussion took place.
it wasn't you per se that i was disagreeing with, rather the things that you were saying which while it might seem to be the same thing, isn't. That is the nature of discussion. You present one set of details/facts/information, someone else presents another. Simply saying something is so, doesn't mean much unless you explain why you say so. As you say yoursef, there are lots of people reading this forum and that is why I believe that it is always better to present as much information with regards to this sort of thing to begin with or else it can get messy.

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I too will vouch for Tomchina on Ebay, I have bought 3 kits from him, two Sierra XR4's and a Alfa Romeo DTM, they arrived excellently packaged and real quick.
You will always find scammers in most trade sites, but fortunately they are few and far between

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I have bought from exshowroom via ebay and the item a 575M arrived with in 10 days well packaged with all the sptures wrapped in bubble wrap. No complaints from me regarding him, he was responsive to email as well. I was always polite which usually gets any problem resolved.

That means very little unless you purchased in the last week of his account. He had built up 1000 good feedback before going downhill. I was polite too and the guy BS'ed me for five weeks and ignored a refund request until PayPal forced it.

I'd like to know if people that ordered from exshowroom in the last five days before he went missing have received anything. If you look at his eBay history he sold US$2193 worth of models in just the last 5 days of his account. Remember to DOUBLE that figure if you include his shipping costs.

For the guys claiming through PayPal, what are PayPal saying about this? Is his account empty? Is his name really Mavin So?

I received 3 models from exshowroom, one in December 05 just before Christmas, one 21st January 2006 and the last 27th January 2006. All arrived in the UK within 10 days of buying on ebay and although not with the best packaging that i`ve seen, no damage to any model. I have also emailed him 2 days ago and he responded within 2 hours. I asked him directly why he had been removed from ebay, and he said that it was due to non payment of fees to ebay and that was down to his credit card not being accepted internationally.

I cannot comment about whether or not he has ever used any of the aliases that have been alleged in other posts.

Now I don`t know any more than that, but what I do know is that, speaking from recent personal experience, I have not been scammed. I too have read his feedback comments and it appears to me that most people who left negative feedback, 3 individuals, 2 were concerned about damaged goods and one who did not receive goods at all. The few people who left neutral were mainly concerned with packaging or slow delivery. Any one can see by checking his last months feedback, 20 pages of 25 entries per page, 5 Neg and 9 or 10 Neutral is a small percentage. Overall in the last 12 months, 985 positive, 10 neutral and 8 negative, IN MY OPINION, does not constitute a scammer. I do add that everyone who posts here has a right to voice their opinion and I also respect that, but surely those figures, ebays figures not mine, should tell us something?
