Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Hi guys.
Thank you for your feedback. What do you think of the wheel for the Safari version? I see that the rear is much deeper than the front ![]() ![]() ![]() Like? ![]() |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Yes, I think you're right with your drawing.
Rear wheel is deeper than front one for sure, but I can't find the exact measure in my books... |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Hello Phil .
Thank you . I found information on these wheels, but not sure it's right. front 15х7 ET 0 back 15х8.5 ET -31.5 But it turns out that the rear are very wide and have a greater depth. |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
If you can reach such a great look than in drawing and pics (and I'm sure you will
) it will be one of the greatest details of the model ! |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Hello !
Little progress: Glass for Nissan. This bothers me a bit, but it was good. ![]() The second good news is ready photoetching ![]() I also received a printed wheels for Safari. But there are problems. The rear wheels get very deep. I will make a new ![]() ![]() ![]() Ready tires for asphalt versions ![]() And one important question for you: I have the opportunity to order this two parts of white metal: ![]() but the set cost will be more 8 - 10 euros. Does it make sense to have this part of the white metal? |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Congratulations Roman, killing details on this model! I'd vote for the external protection parts being in resin.

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Woaw, rear wheels are really deeeeeeeeep
![]() nice PE set and perfect tires ! For the safari part... Sincerely, such part is always better and much appreciated in white metal on the 1/43 models I build, and it also could be better in white metal than in resin on 1/24 models, but 8/10 euros more just for that part I think this really is too much and not inevitably much better compared to the resin solution, which should not be a problem at that scale, to worse so many euros. Moreover white metal parts if not perfectly casted often require more work and more complicated work than a well casted resin part. So resin will be fine if you really should add 8/10 euros to the price. Last edited by rallymaster; 02-01-2013 at 02:20 PM. |

Re: Nissan 240RS rally
Your resin castings are the best that I have ever seen, so why bother with white metal that, as Phil pointed out, can add more complications than anything else
Can't wait to see Nissan and Toyota group B cars on my shelf ! |
