Re: ULTIMATE SCRATCHBUILD: 1:12 Hot Rod-Updated 7/26

Not a whole lot. Just squared everything up and made sure everything was level and true. Then started building crossmembers which are reinforced with 1/16" brass rod. I also took some new pics of the motor.

I would really love to hear everyone's comments and suggestions. I got kind of bummed out on this thing today. Dont know why, but I could use the motivation anyway.

Great job on the intake plenum and detailing the block Mike! Can't wait to see some heads on that thing!

Chassis looks like it's turning out too, any mock-up shots with the engine position?

The engine is entirely scratchbuilt. If you go back a couple pages you can see the progress.

No mockup shots with the engine yet. Still needs some tweaking before a mockup shot.

Thanks for all the comments everyone, they are really appreciated.

Hey Mike, your progress on this car has gone from good to great. Don't get bummed out, just keep the vision of the finished product in your sights. Don't be like I am now: having 19 projects started and working on none of them. You have potential greatness on your hands and I for one, want to see it finished!! You can do it!
