Re: WTF have I done...
What do you think (just rough guess) your time would be with boost dialed in and a great launch?

Re: WTF have I done...
With boost right where it is at 29 psi it will run 9.1-9.2 at this mph. Trap speed will probably go up a couple as well, cars that are top end monsters are sensitive to short times. Make the track just 40 feet longer and there can be a big difference.
With boost cranked up I can see 8.50s at 160. I need more gearing or more rpm to get much over 150 though.

Re: WTF have I done...
Here's a video of one of the slower shakedown passes. This was a 12.9 at 135 with a 2.3 short time. No changes were made between this pass and the 9.8 at 145, just leaving the line with another ~1200 rpm and ~10 psi for a 1.49. I wasn't going for a good burnout here, since I wasn't planning to launch it. The tech was actually busting my balls about the holes in my pants, they made me change. Good thing I saw this coming and brought another pair.

Re: WTF have I done...
Were you in 1st gear all the way until just before the 1/8th? Oh wait, you're running a power glide arent you? That would make a little more sense, for some reason I thought you were on a turbo 350.

Re: WTF have I done...
Yes, it's on a glide. Good question, let's see. First goes to about 80 mph with this gearing and this TC slippage, assuming there's no significant tire growth at this speed. It trapped 118 in the eighth, so it's in second long before the eighth. Hard to believe it can put on another 70mph in second, interesting. In that video it does look like I shifted right before the eighth with the lazy launch.

Re: WTF have I done...
Did you just not burn out good enough on that second one or what? Any plans to get to the track for a real, hard run? |

Re: WTF have I done...
That was my burnout, John Force style.
![]() The track runs the right lane all day wednesday for the track rental, very well prepped. When the track rental and and street night starts, they don't do any furthur track prep. It's only a matter of time before all off the street cars tear it up. Add to that the fact that it's still cold up here at night. Once hte sun starts to go down the track cools right off and moisture settles on it. I was hoping the light breeze would keep it dry, but it didn't last. Saturday is the first local Import event. I was hoping to take advatange of the day time conditions and good track prep if the weather holds out. Unfortunately the steering rack snapped off in the driveway when I got home. One more thing I have to unfuck with this car.

Re: WTF have I done...
Car is ready for today's event. If I only I could get more than 2-3 hours sleep now... This page details the fix for the broken steering rack bracket. I'm much more comfortable with this one at 150+ for some reason...

Re: WTF have I done...
Man, I'd love to get an in car camera on this terlit... Someday.
Today ended with mixed results. Traction was great, but I'm dumb. After a couple runs to dial in the boost during qualifying I had a best of 10.2 at 144 or something like that. And then I ran out of nitrous. Yes, I'm that dumb. Car fell on its face in the final round with an 13.1 at 140. At least it's consistent. ![]() Edit> The new steering bracket worked the balls.

Re: WTF have I done...
13.1 at 140? Thats very high mph for the time. Car must be slow ass hell through the 1/8.

Re: WTF have I done...
You must not have seen the videos.
It's ridiculously slow at first. Launching at 3500 rpm with a turbo that spools at 7500 rpm = the fail.
