Re: 1/24 Tamiya McLaren SLR

A plastic kit with a diecast chassis seems odd to me, but no big deal...I'm more interested in the accuracy of the body, fit of the doors, engine detail...

Re: 1/24 Tamiya McLaren SLR

I wonder if Tamiya are going to cut more corners and just give the top half of the engine like the CLK DTM kits. The way they are going, it would not surprise me! ! I would be very surprised if they produce a whole engine like the Carrera GT, Enzo or 360.

Re: 1/24 Tamiya McLaren SLR

that car doesn't really do it for me. It is nice and I would enjoy building one- but it doesn't really take me there as a car guy.

Tamiya to release SLR Mclaren...

Dont know if this is old news but according to Hobby Search, Tamiya are to release a Mercedes Benz SLR Mclaren. The price is a bit steep, 3800 yen, but its looks like it could be just the right model to get me back into the hobby again.

Would be logical with this damn Die card chasis.

I will pass this one if it's true.. I won't pay a cheap "Fijimi clone kit" 4200Y !
