I really like drag cars. I dont like to build rally cars allthought i like that sport alot. I like the way you build your car. Mean looking machine. Maybe i should try to build turboed (maybe rb26dett since i have copies of it) drag car. Lots of wiring to add. That part scares me.

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

well, I got word from Chris at TEM yesterday. My body will be in the mail either today or the first part of next week. Meaning that I'll get started back on this full force by next thursday hopefully. This has got to be THE highlight of my modeling career. From the shot he sent me, and the one I'm going to attach. It looks AWESOME. Look for some major updates on this thing in coming days! Also the body, to the best of my knowledge is currently available for order!

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

Nice job, looking forward to seeing this one done! Based on the Mustang bodies I go from TEM the resin casting of your body should be first rate. I assume this will be joining TEM's line up for sale?

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

no pictures, just a verbal right now. I got my bodies in today. I need to work on the wing area, as well as adjust the body here and there....and the rear suspension. I will hopefully have pictures up no later than thursday, I've got to reload my camera software. STAY TUNED!!!!

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

well, the time has finally come. I more than likely painted it pre-maturely. but what the heck. this is stage one of the paint. the bottom half is duplicolor gray primer. the top is duplicolor white with PPG sunset orange metallic laid on top of it. topped off with cobra colors clear coat. let me know what you think!!!

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

well, you can count this one out of the contest. I just dropped it. I bumped a wall transporting it from the kitchen to my modelling room........the rest is history. the motor came out, one of the headers broke off. all of my intercooler piping broke off, one of the rear shocks disentigrated, the whole front suspension is gone. So, I'm going to start over. The chassis didn't fit the body very well anymore anyhow, and the intake was too tall for the front clip to clear. With me just starting back to class, it looks like this will be an even longer road than I had anticipated. But I will take what I learned from doing what I had up to this point, and improve on it.

Re: WIP: 2004 Corvette Pro Mod

well, I wanted to redo the frame anyway. This way it will be perfect. and I can fix all of the little things that were wrong.
