The max in a car would be the 290 km/h I've done in my brothers Audi S2 with +/- 440 bhp.
We haven't topped it yet... It keeps on going!

The max I've done on a bike would be the 327 km/h I've done on a non-standard Hayabusa.
The original speedometer only goes up to 300 km/h but I mounted a cat-eye bike speedometer and those are very accurate.

The max speed I've done wheelying is 227 km/h underneath a bridge-restaurant on a Dutch highway.

I am not sure. I would say over 140. The speedo had wrapped around back to 35MPH and the spedo tops out at 125MPH, and the engine had some more room to go.

I took my mother's 2002 Ford Escape XLT up to 100-mph once. That thing kicks ass. It's Duretec 32-valve twin-cam V6 has got 200-hp stock & will haul. It's the front-wheel drive version so it pulls harder & is lighter. I think it's good for a high 16 in the 1/4. That don't sound like much, but for me....:sun:

Believe me, in a big clumsy Escape, it feels like 230-mph. :flash:

Well, a X5's not exactly in the same class as an Escape. A X5 would eat an Escape whole & spit out the Chassis.... :licker:

Winter of 1974/75:

A freind had a real oddball... a 1958 Chrysler 300D onto which had been dropped the rear body of the same year Plymouth station wagon. Still had the cool front end, and the 392 Hemi with 2 four-barrels, but a light body and I suspect slightly more aerodynamic. I hit 150mph one afternoon on the freeway.... on bias-ply tires. That should've scared the *** out of me.

just this past week like tuesday I think it was I was doing 95 on this country back road. Doesn't sound impressive but read on. I was coming up on a long sweeping turn so I slowed down to 90 and then about half way through it I got back up to 95 anyway my friend starts telling me to get over. I was focused and didn't listen to him so I look ahead and there's a dip in the pavement that's like 10 feet long, not a sharp dip just a smooth dip in the pavement. anyway I didn't want to swerve so I hit it, the suspension botttomed out completely and when I came out of it the car had to leave the ground by at least 5 inches cause the engine reved and it landed hard as shit. anyway I've had it up to 120 but this incident was more exciting.
