UPDATES:

The past couple days I've been sick and stayed home from school. When I didnt feel like shooting myself I worked on the 1/6 a little. I started work on the mockup floor pan. Still needs a little work. Then I will add some polyurethane foam on top of it and carve out a mockup of the body. This will be the basis for my templates for the steel body.

I kind of lost motivation for it today. I was hoping this post may stir up some inspiration/motivation. Right now I cant see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks! Enjoy!

Oh shoot, Im sorry man, thats my fault. I was a little late on taking care of the electrical bill and they shut off the light.

Glad to see the Ace finally starting to begin to have a slight possibility of taking shape! Now get back to work!

Updates:

UPDATES:

The mockup floor pan is now complete...I think. The next step is to start adding some foam to it. Then start working on a front pan sort of deal. In the picture are some mockup wheels that I designed glued to some styrene. Just there for sizing until I get the real wheels. Im starting to get a little amped now.

A 1/24 on the pan to give y'all an idea. The body pan makes it look larger than the frame did. Sorry for the blurry pics. Its raining out so there is no natural light.

Enjoy! Leave your thoughts.

Oh, Builder, I used paper and masking tape for a basic template, and then some posterboard. After that I traced it on to posterboard.

Looks like you are getting somewhere after all, eh? What are you going to do, put the foam on the floor pan and start carving it to shape? Is that the plan?

Looks great so far Mike, glad to see you're still on it.

Those paper wheels are kinda' freaky ...... they remind me of those little box's of animal crackers I use to get as a kid

Keep it up.

Mike, It looks like something now, amazing what difference a floor pan makes, can't wait to see it with the motor and tranny.

Looking awesome, keep it up.

This is looking awesome. I know it's rather late, but I just joined. But, couldn't you have shapped the inside of the body pieces with wood then hammered the metal around them? It seems like it would work much better than hammering around no form. Keep up this awesome work!
