a little off topic, but how do you get your pictures to come out so well. I try and take a closeup of something, and it blurs out.

Check and see if your camera has Macro. Thats what you need for close up pictures. I also changed my picture size to 1260x980 Fine res, and then resize. The Fine resolution isnt neccesary, but can help.

Updates:

UPDATES:

Like I said earlier, I made the brake pads. Tonight if I have time Im going to start either the vacuum pump or the master cylinder. I also have to make the combination valve and residual valves. I will probably wait 'til near completion to build the valves since they are easy, and and deal with final fitting.

Sorry some pics came out blurry, tripod went MIA again. I still have to finish putty work, and build the bleeder and hose inputs on the calipers before primer.

BTW, does primer effect RTV when making casting molds?

Enjoy

No, but mold release affects the primer. Consider you master a master for life.

BTW, it's "does primer affect RTV" or "what effect doees primer have on RTV." "Effect" is a noun, "affect" is a verb. However, improper usage is beginning to give creedence to "effect" as a verb, as well. No biggie, common mistake. I didn't know the difference until recently.

What happens to the primer? and how is it affected? Why is it a master for life?

That's a real great idea!

I hope you don't give up - I can imagine what a lot of work it is.
I have some experience with paper models, and getting 2d to 3d is rally not easy.
As you read this, I'm probably already on the way to the bricolage store - gonna try it with some tinny sheet metal - should be easier to form.

Keep going!

While I don't think it chemically changes the primer, it is mold release so paint will never stick to it. I've tried to clean it off a primered part, but no luck. I've not even wasted my time trying to paint over it, so I may be wrong.

Re: ULTIMATE SCRATCHBUILD: 1/6 Hot Rod (Progress)

Well...Im pissed. I was planning on getting a bunch of stuff done this week, such as frame rail mods, gas tank, and engine mounts. So much for that. My damn grinder busted. Piece of shit bearing crapped out. Just bought it a month ago. Not to mention, I went out, refilled the Argon today for $25. G-great. The bottles leak slowly. I wont have a new cutting tool for awhile, and all the argon is going to leak out.
