Hey sam in this Photo, what did you use to hold the wiring together?is it just fuse wire twisted on there then trimmed?

I used this thread:

That is elastic sewing thread. You can find it in any fabric store. Great stuff!

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Time for a quick update!

I scratchbuilt the jack and crossbar and installed them with their proper restraints. They will be hard to see with the body in place, but what the heck.

The interior is finished! Now, on to the rollcage. The bars have some details molded in place, but I chose to sand them off and scratchbuild the pieces separately. Here´s a look at the rollcage so far:

Hope you like the progress!

Thanks!!
The seats are dead flat, but I have to hold my crappy camera 3 inches away from the model to show the detail, and the flash show the seats like they were gloss.

But there's hope about Santa bringing a new digital camera this december!

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Love the progress man! Your scratchbuilding and detailing in the cockpit is second to none!!! I have left mine and turned back to a more OOB build. Just a clean example of this car is what I am after now. I have a few models I need to get cranking with so will keep this one simple. I am now onto the body and once done that will mean my build is finished up. Envy your skills on the cockpit and attention to detail. It is going to be a fantastic model once finished!!!

Thanks!! This is not an easy model to build. In fact, I should have seen it better before I decided to add more detail to it!
For every part I scrathbuild, I have to modify 3 or 4 more if I want everything to fit properly.

Please let us see your model! I would love to see your progress and of course I will be more than happy to share any info about the kit with you!

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Time to show you more progress!

I applied white paint to the roll cage, and masked it to paint the black areas:

And hereīs a photo of all the separate pieces that will be attached to the cage:

Hereīs the finished roll cage. Hope you like it!

Next time, Iīll show you the roll cage in the chassis and I will start with the body detail (finally!!)

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Time to show you what I have done to the Pug in the last couple weeks!

I installed the cage in the chassis and added the protective net in the passenger side:

And FINALLY, I finished the engine bay detail!! I scratchbuilt the air ducts for the rear brakes and added final wiring and plumbing:

I will add the spare wheel and air filter after the body is in place.

Time to begin the body!!!!!
