Talking srt-4 beats 5.0 mustang

I have had an srt-4 for about 2 weeks and already embarassed everyone in my area that owns any souped up Honda. I just got back from a short drive where I left an early 90's Mustang GT owner crying on his way home to his mommy. GOD I LOVE THIS CAR!
And yes, it is a Dodge. Which means that it will eat most modified cars and it still has a 7 year 70,000 mile factory warranty.

Step 2 is the stage 2 kit from my dealer that will sneak it down into the low 13s or high 12s ..... and still have the factory warranty. This is not your sister's Neon! It doesn't even have the same unibody, engine, transmission, seats, or badging to suggest it's a Neon. It's a poor man's VIPER.

ON THE SUBJECT OF SRT4'S AND WRX'S, IT IS A MATTER OF WHO IS DRIVING I AM NOT THAT GOOD, I AM STILL GETTING THE FEEL OF MY CAR THERFORE I WOULD PROBABLY LOSE, BUT IF SOME DUDE WHO NEW NOTHING ABOUT HIS WRX PULLED ALONG SIDE I WOULD PROBABLY WIN. I THINK IT IS A GOOD CAR THAT WILL BE REFINED IN THE FUTURE AND BECOME A REAL SPORTS CAR, AS FOR WRX'S AND EVO'S I LIVE RIGHT IN TOKYO AND I'VE SEEN BOTH GET SMOKED HARD BY AMERICAN Z28'S AND THE VERSIONS SOLD IN JAPAN ARE A LITLLE BETTER THEN STATESIDE CARS,MOST STOCK SKYLINES EXCEPT FOR THE GT R WOULD EASILY GET SMOKED BY A SRT4 OR ANY FAST CAR FOR THAT MATTER

woo. impressive. So it takes some fairly heavily mods to make your S14 to maybe beat an box-stock SRT-4. Put just ONE mod on that SRT-4 - the MP Stage 1 performance upgrade - and you'll still be looking at the SRT-4's tail. Heck, even if it takes Stage 2, which I doubt, you'd still get spanked.

LoL you would need more than a boost control try a bigger turbo... to touch me the way I am now. I am not going to knock the SRT-4 I was just joking with those earlier posts. With a bigger turbo you need to work the Internals right.?.?.? That engine is pretty powerful, just that Dodge aint to great when it comes to 4cyl engines thats all I am trying to say. VIPER yes dont know about anything else. Unless that neon is putting out 360 hp I dont think he can beat me "right now" cause I know I am not the fastest. Like I said any car that can be fast "So be it" those are just my first mods. Soon I will get the Stroker Kit and a GT2835 Turbo or maybe even BIGGER. Put me at around 500 or very close to it. RWHP!!!!

Heavy mods... Where???

Nope. You can get Stage 3 (300whp300tq) on stock internals. I'd be willing to bet that the stock stuff will go much further. Perhaps 400whp.

That's cool. All I'm saying is you don't know anything about Dodge 4cyl engines. Maybe their not as smooth as some of their foreign countrparts, but they're every bit as strong, and in many cases, far stronger and more powerful. Dodge still remembers that there is a thing called torque.

*shrugs* There are SRT-4s running in excess of 750whp. I know of a few 2.0 DOHCs running 450hp without trouble, so I'm sure that 550-600 streetable, reliable HP out of a 2.4L SRT-4 won't be out of the question.

Dude I dont consider any of those mods to be "HEAVY" to you they might be, but to a Silvia Tuner they are basic... if not bottom of the shelf.

Dodge aint to great when it comes to 4cyl engines

wouldn't pic on the dodges to much dodge was building turbo 4s a long time before the imports got on this band wagon as a matter of fact the srt-4 is not the highest hp 4 they have built based on factory numbers but you can't trust dodge number (they have underrated since the 60s on most of there performance models) and the japs have overated most of there numbers as long as I can remember (not cutting on them its just what the seem to do)

whoever said it dont call japanese people japs, it aint nice, as for the guy with an s14 i have seen s14 over hear with four five hundred horses with some bad ass body kits nice cars you should put some pictures up of your car, and i see stuff about a stage three turbo upgrade for the srt4 but alls i can find is a stage one from mopar, anyone know about any other mods body or engine that don't take to much cash to achieve
