Re: In progress - 06 "Eleanor" Mustang
Eh, I was really excited to see the outcome of it, but you had to change the color scheme....OY! It looks really good though....just wish it were grey with black stripes, that's all. Good build!

Re: In progress - 06 "Eleanor" Mustang
Came out great, the red looks really nice even though I am already partial to that color anyway. I would have started my kit by now but I have not come across any wheels I like that fit really well, most are just too small.

Re: In progress - 06 "Eleanor" Mustang
I'd been putting off building the suspension as using the kit suspension & Mr Model wheels unaltered meant that the rims stuck way outside the arches.
This is the solution I came up : Rear Suspension I shortened the axle & then drilled out the ends to accept a peice of brass rod - ![]() The the discs were attached using Araldite (they're just loose in the pic). ![]() To lower the ride height I also shortened the springs and removed some of the axle casing. The p/e centres were then glued to the disc. Front suspension I added a peice of plastic card and then drilled a hole slighlty higher than the stock one to raise the rim into the wheel arch and then glued in the brass rod. As there was no scope to shorten the kit suspension I had to shorten the mounting on the disc with a razor saw. ![]() Not very elegant but it works !. Thanks for looking. Andy
