Obviously everyone has their opinions on what to do with a McLaren.

The few experiences shared makes them even more special.

There are always People love a car like this , It relex you from tension and pain . why do i say that ? For me example , The classic super car & 80's music are mine passion and keep me moving on everyday . even I knew I can't Affor it ...

No - there's no limit to the number of cars one can have approved under Show & Display to my knowledge. Even if there was, it would be fairly simple to bend that rule and list a second or third car under the name of a spouse or other family member.

I believe the desire was to simply keep the car in it's "New" condition by leaving it in storage once the DOT/EPA requirements had been met.

This is on the front left and measures about 4" wide.


This large print is on the back and is probably 16" x 18".

Thanks for posting that. I think I know the vendor. I've contacted them and if they still have any stock I'll start a new thread to let everyone know where they can get one. They have (had?) one other F1 GTR shirt so here's hoping that they still have some.

Edit: the post above must be the other shirt I referred to as I know that this vendor travels to Lime Rock.

It was pretty pricey. $25 each. I ended up paying $50 for 2. They got mad when i tried to bargain with them, 2 for $40. I remember that they were french too. Is that who you are talking about?

You're not pissing on my parade at all. I'm glad someone else managed to get their hands on one. I'm just surprised that I have never seen one before. You would think a shirt like that would be in wide circulation, not found on the wall of a vendor's trailer at a race track.

Yes, French couple from San Francisco. If you knew what the tracks charge them to be there and what their expenses are you'd start thinking that $25 is pretty reasonable for a quality shirt. The only way to get the shirt price down would be on very large quantity like an event shirt at the actual event where you might sell several thousand. How many Mclaren shirts do you think they sell at the average CART or IMSA event these days? They may well have been carrying the cost of that inventory for 10 years! I used to know several of those vendors quite well who all did the same rounds every year. Trust me: it is a very tough way to make a living and most of them just scrape by. If they gave you 2 for $40 they'd probably be losing money on them and doing it just to clean out old inventory.

Edit: the website has not been updated in a loooong time and appears to have been gone since about a year ago.

Funny you should mention that. They said the same thing and said they had to steal their power from the trailer next door
