Re: In Progress: Jordan 191
Hello all
In order to give more contrast on the engine bay, I have applied CF pattern to the suspensions last night. ![]() Happy Modelling Mikusen |

But don't feel to much pressure on it, you should enjoy modelling, right? My technique for applying CF is that I would use a paint brush to make sure the CF laying flat to the parts. Hope this help Mikusen |

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191
Are you sure this Jordan had suspension parts made of CF? Back in 1991? I doubt it... But anyway, it looks pretty cool!

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191
The 191 had a carbon fibre front pushrod for at least some events. The rest was as Bill states to the best of my knowledge. The brake ducts were c/f too, rather untidy looking by todays standards.
I like the way those pivot points and shocks are coming along!

Stunning.. When you apply the CF, do you make the template a little bigger and then cut the excess off when applied to the part? I need to learn how to do this, as I can't expect SMS to make templates for every single model ever produced....
It looks so good, as CF decals are the next challange for me. Got P/E kinda sorted, CF is next and your CF work looks great.. For my first attempt at CF I ordered SMS templated decals, but as I said this will only take me so far, I need to learn how to make my own..!! Reading freakrays FAQ has helped, but seeing your CF work as made me think just how good this can look..!! Keep it up, this is one of the best detailed 90's F1 cars I've seen.. |
