Re: GTR 21R to be auctioned by Gooding in Scottsdale - Jan 2014

Interesting rear wing setup to SPA. High speed track and those images what I have there collected from net, these rear wings are not there in the race.
At least I have one image of #26R there, end of the longest straight, normal rear wing. I have draw that also.

I founded one image of my collection; Nurburgring it wore that black tail wing.

Seems Helsinki had white wing setup, don't know (yet) was there any sponsor logos in the out side on the wing. Front it had 2 air wings in the front bumper.

Some reason this thumbnail just shows the small image of what I tryed to get bigger one. The 2 images from left are from Helsinki. If it's working OK.
The Nurburgring image doesn't work.

Nice one if needed to know some details of the sponsor marks.

Re: GTR 21R to be auctioned by Gooding in Scottsdale - Jan 2014

OK, this one helped this time more than enough to have the details right. #23R seen here very good shot in streets of Helsinki. The rear wing setup in the race is clearly seen here. #21R had black front wings in the bumper.
http://www.speedhunters.com/2009/09/...amp_1997_pt_2/

I also found some images from Vauhdin Maailma; the wing is different than #23R, the sponsor logos are different out side of the wing.
Seems also they are separate, don't touch with the lower wing, or if they do; there is clear line between them.

The Arjan's image is quite much sure from Nurburgring; I also founded some image from my hard drive where I have named that Nurburgring but the wing setup is different.
You never know these things. I know that BMW Motorsport got the heavy wings during the weekend, must be bprchamp who told this here. And I remember to reading something like that also in 1997 during the weekend.
I wish to remember but I can't recall, did they run the qualifying this heavy wing setup or the usually seen lighter wing setup.

Yep, just saw his pics, astonishing work. Really like the contrast on his #21R set, as well as playing with the sky and blue and white surrounding to complement the red details on the car.

You are aiming for just one sweet spot in the corner. It's the point where centrifugal and cornering forces reach their equilibrium, where they are all at once replaced with acceleration. APEX - The invisible vertex of a corner, a place where the fastest lap times are recorded.

Re: GTR 21R to be auctioned by Gooding in Scottsdale - Jan 2014

Yep, well I think you can get it pretty close to do something like F5,6 and with stand perhaps, but I doubt there has been one. The light conditions are 100% right and todays camera's it's more than easy job if you know what you do with camera. The target isn't moving and you have plenty time to think. If you know what you are doing, it's not super difficult to get images like these.
Then it goes interesting if the target moves and you want to use a something like F5,6, then it' comes very difficult.
Of course the experience of photographer gives these much detailing things, but my point is that if you just know what you are doing; it's not too difficult to get images close like these were.

Anyway; these images were brilliant. I just hope someday could get a change to get some GTR's images like these, these kind of light conditions.
