Thanks! So, we wait about 6 months for these to be released, give or take, then what, a few more for decent decal sets! Plenty of time to save up

I'm going to be the one to say it:
I wish they did the regular DB9 instead.
It would be easier to turn that into a DBS than it is to turn DBS into a DB9.

Hey, its a start. That also means they have the license now. If this sells well, who knows, maybe Tamiya will release a line of AMs. I sure hope so.

With Tamiya it doesn't necessarily mean anything. They have Ferrari license but haven't made a road car kit since Enzo IIRC.

Fujimi and Revell have taken the lead and I don't see Tamiya's philosophy changing.

Re: Tamiya/Revell News 2010

Hi Robert,

raceworks has offered a decal sheet with different liverys (MOMO, pure and in combination with Kreepy Krauly) for red or red/blue cars of the 935/78 and 935/80.

I have one in my storagebox but donīt know if it is available today.

That is true Brian. However, Tamiya's philosophy of late is to produce fully-detailed, expensive kits that will surely, 100% sell well, or make something cheap and not very detailed, but still make a good return on investment.

They could have done that with the 360 Stradale, 430 Scuderia and a full detail 550 IMO.

Re: Tamiya/Revell News 2010

It seems to me that Tamiya's new plan for their model car line up is to release ONE top end kit of the flagship car from a prestige marque, multiple decal option kits of the popular in Japan Super GT cars and the occasional re-box of an oop kit from their archives.
Enzo/FXX hasn't guaranteed more Ferrari road car kits.
SLR hasn't spawned more MB road cars.
Carrera GT hasn't brought more Porsche kits.

That doesn't spell good things for the possibility of another Aston Martin.
