is the probe a great handling car, yes. i need no numbers to prove it, i only ask you to follow my car on a winding road. Is the 240 a great handling car. i personally have no proof. but, from what ive seen from them, i believe they are. the real question is, would i trade my probe for a 240 in equal shape, with equal miles and of an equal year. yes in a heart beat. you would have to be a moron not to (or die hard probe fan).
why
the 240 has somethings the probe screams for. rwd, potential for upgraded motors, a larger aftermarket. just to name a few.
I believe i could smoke most 240s in the curves with my GT, but is it worth the hastle. in the last 12 months i have had my car, it has bene roadable for about 3 of those. also you must look at som things that make the probe a great handling car. its not the suspension, it has a descent but not great suspension. its not the body design, the body looks good but thats about it. its the meat, yes the meat. the tires are what makes most of the cars gripe, put the 240 and the probe on equal rubber, with the same driver, who knows how to drive both layouts, and im sure the 240 would out handle the probe. but thats just the ramblings of a probe owner, 240 dreamer, who uses no hard evadence to back himself up. take it for what its worth.
