ok back to the original topic. for your 99 ex manual i would first decide what you want to do with it. are y ou goin turbo? are you swapping engines? goin show? the reason im asking is because you could very easily waste your money now on pointless mods that you may have to take off later if you have other plans for the car. so tell me what you want to do.

and i must say this, i noticed how slammedcivic really calmed down after my "i think you both got owned" speech. that is very commendable of you slammed. understanding why youre wrong and accepting the fact is hard for all of us. but i can appreciate that you sucked it up and put your tail between your legs and backed up when the big dog came to town!! im just messing with you good debate guys lets do this again

and lewdaka let me know what your plans are!!!!

Alright u want some help?
Go to an auction, most public auctions are bogus because once you bid on the car and win it, theres ridiculous taxes imposed by the auction company, htey have a chart made up (from 1000-1499 final price, 400 dolalr mandatory fee), shit like that. But there are some auctions that have mostly insurance claim cars and repo's, that are open to regular people not just dealers. Ask around and find an auction like that near you.
You can get a car muuuuch cheaper from there, and if you know how properly inspect a car that youre not sure of (hidden damage so to say), than you can find soemthign really descent for a damned good price. But if you would rather have peace of mind and want to have warranty from a dealer, or you can't pay it cash at once, you can definetly find a 99-00 Si for not more than 12 grand from a dealer, just do your shopping around and no matter how low the price seems, argue it down even more!

Oh and if youre not sure about the value of a certain car with certain mileage on it, just check out kbb.com, they can give you an idea what you should b paying for it

since we're already COMPLETELY off topic, i just want to say that sticks will always beat an auto until you get to a certain HP. once you reach around 300-400 HP, autos are faster in any qualtiy car with a nice tranny. if you race 2 supras with the same mods and the same driver, the auto will have faster times in any time trial. but since we're talking about civics, forget that. sticks are faster. anywayz, on the price, those are way too expensive. i got my 96 ex a year ago for 7500 with 72k miles on it. my mom bought her 00 dx for 13k. so the ex would have been around 16, minus 3-4 years and its no worth it. i wouldnt pay more than 13 and thats for an SI, which you can find for that price with around 30-50k miles.

damn cranium why you goin back to that again. we just finished that arguement and you come on here starting it again. what a post whore!! and everything you said in your last post is bs anyways. an auto supra and a manual supra racing eachother with the same mods and the auto wins??? are you retarded? the manual driver must be really dumb if he lost to an auto. and no there is no magic hp number that when you cross it auto and manual become equal. you are making totally bogus remarks man. and also about finding Si's with less than 50k miles for under 13k. are you blind or just dumb? ever looked at autotrader? there are at least 4 Si's just in my area with less than 40k miles for under 13k.

yes this IS a personal attack. because i hate punks like this who come on here talking like they know something and are totally wrong about everything thay say. noone else should interfere in this conversation. i take responsibility for this one. i am talking to you directly and you only. i dont know if youre trying to make arguements or what but dont post again unless you know what youre talking about buddy. isnt it your naptime???

(you got owned BIATCH!):finger: :finger:

muahaha

altough edman24, i should note that ive heard somewhere that an auto supra in SOME cases really is a little faster down the quarter mile, maybe cuz it has to make one shift less, and with enuff horsepower it would be able to accelerate with no prob with the higher auto gear ratio. Also i think there was somethign about the auto tranny maintaining the boost of the turbo better, but if you are a good stick driver u should be able to shift wihout loosing pressure
so i dunno abt this one
other than that, BUAHAHA

lewdaka03, man im telling u
fine, its your choice, but one day u will get the speed bug BADLY, like your arm is gonna itch to change gears and will be stuck with an auto, and u gonna wish u had a manual, u gonna hit yourself upside the head. It might not happen but it probably will sooner or later, i seriously recommend look for a stick shift civic....

Look on ebay, they might have an SI in your area up for sale...

thats pretty good for a 98 auto ex, but like everyone is saying, its up to you but maybe you could find an si for only lke 2000 more, but then again if you want the auto, go with the ex.

so are you gonna go all show, or all go, or alittle bit of both ?

go on www.somethingleet.com and talk to a guy named Pooshda. He drives a 450+ HP supra and knows his shit. He will tell you that any auto supra will beat a stick supra with the same mods and the same driver. That's where I got it from and I trust anyone who actually drives an races a supra over someone posting in a civic forum.

And i'm not post whoring, I got bored of reading every post, so I didn't bother to notice that on the last page, that argument had been dropped.

And edman, you said there are 4 SI's in yoru area in that price range. That's more than zero. I didn't say it was common. I meant it as being a good deal. Silly boy. Also you must be like 16 if you get that angry over something like that. No wonder. You drive a freakin' VW. What the hell are you doing in a civic forum anyway? Civics are not Supras. VW's are not Supras. Do some research before you claim to know something. Badwoggle dwoggle.
